Rubys grip on it tightened. She gazed up at him with wide eyes, shaking her head stubbornly. "No." she answered back, getting to her feet. She reached into her pocket and drew out an identicle packet, except this one happened to be empty. She was still shaking, but she was starting to get used to it. She felt comforted now.

'No.' The word hit Logan hard, it penetrated the dealer exterior he learnt to use on customers. But what happens when that line gets crossed and becomes blurred? 'You get screwed.' Logan thought silently to himself. His stomach sunk when Ruby produced a similar but empty packet, this brought him to his knees to be her height so he could look her in the eyes.
"How long?" Logan was intrigued to know how long she'd been using, was she an addict or had she only started? Could he help her?

Ruby looked like a guilty child who'd been found doing something she wasn't meant to. As soon as he dropped to her height she dropped her gaze to the floor, shoving the empty packet back into her pocket.
"Nearly a year." she answered, practically her whole time in New York. She flicked her eyes up to look at him, giving him a defiant look, as if she was daring him to tell her she was wrong. That she should stop. She never let anyone tell her that, she wasn't about to start.

Logan let out a defeated sigh. 'A year,' he thought to himself. Ruby was hooked for sure. He remained silently, palming his face as his body went into auto pilot. Logan got up and stretched out his hand to Ruby, not for her to give him back the drugs, but for her to trust him.
"Come on, lets not do this here. Lets go somewhere quiet."

She looked at his hand, biting her bottom lip. Slipping the drugs into her pocket she took his hand, standing up. Dropping his hand almost instantly she instead slipped an arm around him, so they could walk literally side by side. She did trust him. She trusted him as much as it was possible for her to trust anyone. Which still wasn't alot but she could learn. Nuzzling him a little she nodded, "Wheres quiet for you?" she asked him quietly.

Logan was a little surprised to see Ruby still wanting to be this close to him after the confrontation. Usually drug addicts ran a mile if they were found out. As they walked he loosely hung his arm over Ruby's shoulder, staring her to a dressing room. Logan didn't do drugs but other comedians and actors that used the theatre did.
Once in the room he let go of Ruby and walked over to a draw, pulling out a thin metal rectangle. All the addicts at the Montage used it; said it cut the power perfectly. Silently he motioned Ruby over to him, showing her the piece of metal. "Here, its what you need isn't it?"
He hated that he was helping her but if he didn't Logan was afraid Ruby would leave him.

Her face lit up so much it was like a light was suddenly turned on somewhere inside her soul. She took the metal, dividing it up before carefully arranging her lines on the desk. Hurriedly rolling up a banknote, glancing at him quickly before snorting it.
Taking a deep breath she smiled gently to herself, absently tucking a peice of hair behind her ear and putting the rest of the cocaine back in her pocket. "Thankyou..." she breathed, slowly she was beginning to look like the old Ruby. Flirty, dark, sexy and most of all, not shaking. Although, it was starting to take longer for the drugs to hit her.

Logan died inside as he watched Ruby snort her precious drugs. He also noticed the change; was she always so fragile and quiet without the drugs? Logan thought he knew the real her, but was now torn between having a good time with the addicted Ruby he knew, and the weak one that couldn't survive without the drugs.
Sighing lightly Logan walked over to a rather large arm chair and slumped in it, trying to will away his thoughts for a while.

Ruby raised an eyebrow. Going over to him. "Logan?" she asked him gently. Placing her hand under his chin she tilted his face up to look at her. "C'mon, it's not even a big deal..." she tried to convince him, kissing his cheek, then his mouth. She sat on the arm of she chair beside him, running a hand through his hair.
