Caleb Aarons entered The Roxy Club with a purpose in mind.
As a rule, he never entered strip clubs for entertainment. He felt that it set a bad example for his daughter. He had nothing against the girls there, but he didn't think it was appropriate for a father of a thirteen-year-old girl to go to strip clubs and oggle women.
Tonight, however, he was there on business. One of the girls who worked there had disappeared and was presumed dead. Caleb needed to talk to the other girls, see if he could get any information from them that would help the investigation.

Jessica, under her work alias of Cherry, walked off stage, fanning herself with her hand as she walked towards the bar. A group of guys waved her over and she shook her head "Sorry boys, i'm on a break, try her." she said to them, giving them a grin and pointing over to another dancer. Once the men were satisfied, Cherry finished her walk to the bar, leaning against it and motioning to the barman. He nodded, starting to make her a drink.
Cherry looked around slightly as she waited for her drink, cooling off from all the dancing she'd just done.

Caleb saw once of the dancers move off the stage and over to the bar. She was probably the one who it was best to start with.
Caleb walked over to the bar and stood beside the girl.
"Excuse me, miss?" he said politely, to draw her attention. He showed her his badge and then put it away quickly.
"I'm Detective Caleb Aarons," he told her, "I was hoping you and the other girls could tell me about the girl that went missing here a few nights ago?"
He remained polite, knowing that it would be easier to get information that way, and then there was that constant sense of chivalry he always upheld towards women.

Cherry turned to him casually, straightening up slightly when she saw the badge. "Cops aren't usually welcome here, Detective. A girl goes missing and that's the end of it. You sure you want to get involved?"

"I care about people," Caleb replied simply, "call me tenacious."
He took out the picture of the girl that had come with her file and showed it to the girl.
"Recognize her?" he asked, knowing the answer was almost certainly yes. The girls at The Roxy looked out for each other.

Cherry frowned a bit at the picture, nodding slightly. "Yeah, I do. What you want to know?" she asked him, looking from the picture to Caleb.

"She have any enemies? Were any of her customers particularly agressive to her before she disappeared, for instance? Anything that might suggest someone wanted her gone?"
Caleb checked his watch quickly. It was nearing one in the morning. He really hoped this would be wrapped up quickly. He wanted to get home and make sure Cassie was okay.

Cherry sipped her drink a little, shaking her head at the questions. "I didn't know her too well, but as far as I knew she didn't have any enemies. No customers were particularly agressive, unless you count them hitting her ass a little harder then usual, agressive." she said to him. She nodded him check his watch, looking at him "You have somewhere you need to be? We could do this somewhere else, my shift's almost over."

"No, just hoping my kid isn't up late listening to Elvis records again," Caleb explained to the girl, whose name he still hadn't gotten, "but yeah, maybe it is better if we do this somewhere else."

Jessica nodded "Your kid's an Elvis fan?" she asked him, before nodding at his latter comment. "Where?"

"Yeah, big Elvis fan," Caleb replied, "she thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread."
Caleb considered where they could go that wouldn't be as susceptible to seedy people.
"There's a coffehouse near my apartment building. Sound decent?" he asked.

Jessica nodded "Give me a moment." she said to him, leaving her drink and going to the back room, getting on her black jacket over her costume. She picked up her purse and walked back out to him "Lets go"

Caleb saw Jessica coming back and walked over to the front of the building and opened the door for her politely.
"After you," he said to her.

Jessica smiled a bit at Caleb "Thanks." she said to him, walking out the door, heels clicking on the street as she did.
