Cassie had been up for a while now. She did this every night her father was out at work late.
She had just finished watching an old episode of "The Lone Ranger", which she had enjoyed immensely, and was now thinking of what else she could do.
Eventually, she decided. She went to the record cupboard, took out an Elvis record, and put it into the record player.
"Blue Suede Shoes" began to play out of record player, perhaps a bit more loudly than it should have been, but Cassie didn't care. She grabbed her hairbrush and began to mimic Elvis' already famous moves, and lipsynch the words into the hairbrush.

Ruby, in a black form fitting dress knocked on the door somewhat angrily. "Hey!" she yelled, still knocking loudly, she folded her arms, waiting for the door to open.

Cassie came out of a twirl, hearing the knocking on the door.
She turned down the music, and headed to the door.
When she got there, she used a small stool to look through the peephole and, when she saw the woman, who looked very pretty, she put the chain on and opened the door slightly.
"I'm sorry if the music was too loud," she said, blushing profusely, extremely embarassed, "I didn't know it was gonna wake anyone."

Rubys face softened, "Aw Honey it's okay, it's disturbing my client-... uh... I got an early start tomorrow..." she smiled at her.
"You got that new Elvis record?" she asked her with interest, politely making conversation.

Cassie relaxed and smiled a bit when the woman's anger subsided.
"Yeah," Cassie nodded, in reply to the woman's question, "Elvis is cool!"
She knew that the woman wasn't telling the truth about why she was here about the music (being the daughter of a cop will do that to you), but what being the daughter of a cop also did was made Cassie realise that she shouldn't press any further.

Ruby nodded, "You've got blue suede shoes? But thats so new!" she gasped, remembering what song she was hearing. "Got any moves?" she chuckled.

Cassie smiled and blushed.
"Maybe some..." she admitted.
Cassie was more of a 'dance in private' kind of person.

Ruby laughed, "Can you show me?" she asked her, leaning against the wall and looking pleadingly at her.

Cassie turned the exact shade of a tomato. She was absolutely flattered that someone wanted to see her dance, but she was also afraid that she would get made fun of.
"Promise not to laugh?" Cassie asked.

Ruby shook her head, "Of course I won't, if you can dance in front of me then you got guts, and I don't laugh at that." she smiled, leaning against the door frame.
