(first half of the Levine twins)
Full Name: Angela Levine
Nickname(s): None
Stage Name: Leanna Velagie
Age: 21
Artistic Pursuit(s): Dancing and singing
Image:
Appearance: As would be expected of someone of the upper-class, Angela is a very attractive young lady. Her slender form, dark brown hair and large eyes give her a sort of look of innocence and vulnerability.
Angela wears beautiful, expensive dresses and clothes often worn by those of the upper-class. She bears a small scar on her left wrist, something she hides with gloves or bracelets and refuses to discuss if anyone should happen to see it.
Personality: Angela is a well-mannered, polite young lady. Cultured, proper, but not haughty or snobby; though she is a little self-conscious of her appearance and attempts to look good, the concept of looking good being cemented into her at an early age.
She enjoys dancing and singing, which her family could afford to have her learn, as a way to get her mind off the more personal issues in her life. She aspires to become a broadway singer, and make it on her own by use of an alias; like her mother, whose past career she admires.
Family:
Patrick Levine ~ Angela's father. A high-class and powerful owner of a top Wall Street banking firm.
Celeste Levine ~ Wife of Patrick Levine and Angela's mother. Former Broadway performer.
Joshua Levine ~Angela's twin brother (see bio on Joshua)
History: Angela and Joshua Levine are the twin children of Patrick Levine, the CEO of one of Wall Street's major banking firms. As a result, both were raised in a life of wealth and privilage.
Angela settled into her life with relative ease, though as she grew older felt more and more like she was being pawned off to the children of her father's friends. One of her only real pleasures is dancing, something her mother used to do in ballets and broadway shows before marriage. When she started, she took on a fake name at her mother's advice to reduce media attention; which also allowed her to make it on her own.
However, not all is well within the walls of the Levine family, Angela is frightened of her brother Joshua, who generally looks down on her and may be responsible for the murders of several prostitutes and strippers, like a modern-day Jack The Ripper; though police investigations have always been detracted from him due to their father's wealth. Her fear of him, the resentment for her father, as well as threats her brother made to her one night, have lead to her unwillingly assisting in denying knowledge of the connections, as well as the curious scar on her left wrist.
Main Talent: Singing and dancing. Angela enjoys both and has made an alias so she could do so without any attention coming into her other life and so she could do so on her own as her mother did. Her father is aware of her double-life, but has dismissed it as a phase as her mother eventually settled down with him. He had warned her on occasion not to get "too attached" to this intended career.
Weaknesses: Angela is a little bit vain and self-conscious of her appearance, mostly due to years of being told she has to look good at all times.
Angela is terrified of her brother Joshua, she is aware of his connection to one or two of the murders and is sure he has done more, but is far too afraid to go to the police about it, as she fears she will be disowned or killed or both for it.
Due to the stress of these things, Angela can feel very depressed and when she does, risks falling into a severe state of it. This has once lead to a near-suicide attempt. She is also rather helpless in a fight, the most she knows about gun or knife use is which end to hold.
Strengths: Angela is a good singer, but is an exceptional dancer. She is particularly good at ballet. She is a fairly good liar as it's also been expected of her due to her brother's actions.
Anything Else: Her father keeps, in a locked safe, hospital records of the twins' births, he has not allowed anyone to see them, not even his own family members.
RP Example: Donning a white dress and heels, her hair styled in a windblown, elegant fashion, Angela stood quietly near the caterings at the latest big party the family was meant to attend. She did not feel like socializing with the others, least of all getting shown off to her father's friends' sons; all of whom reminded her of the face Joshua always put on. And speaking of him, he was chatting with a few of the young women. An incident awhile back still clung to her memory enough to know what was just under the surface, though...
"Angie, I'm only gonna say this once, you tell anyone, and I'll spoil a few of those looks..." Joshua's face was inches from hers in the dark room. And so was the knife he was holding.
"I-I'll tell dad!" She stammered. Joshua smiled and shook his head.
"Who do you think's been stopping the investigations?" He asked. Angela sank against the wall, defeated as he looked down at her like a vulture eyeing a piece of carrion. He'll disown you, then you're fair game.
If only they knew... She thought to herself, watching with a saddened look. So many people in the lower classes envied them, and she knew it. But in turn she felt she envied them a little. She doubted many of them lived with a father who put his business ahead of them, or had siblings who were closet serial killers. She looked down at her feet, her thoughts swimming through her head. Her father made her miss the ballet audition tonight in favor of this, of all things.
"You alright, miss?" A young man asked her with a painted-on smile. She smiled back politely and nodded. "I'm fine. Just thinking."
"Don't do that too much. You might hurt yourself." He said teasingly as he went off to find some other girl to talk to. Angela looked at her watch, only 20 minutes had gone by and there was still another two hours.
