(and the other half of the twins)
Full Name: Joshua Levine
Nickname(s): Raincoat Killer (to the press)
Stage Name: He does not use a stage name.
Age: 21
Artistic Pursuit(s): An artist, of sorts. In a manner of speaking.
Image:
Appearance: Joshua is a strikingly handsome young man, with light brown hair and blue eyes. He often wears expensive dress shirts, slacks, and shoes, and often a loose black tie.
When committing murder, he dresses differently, wearing a black hooded raincoat, gloves, and a black faceless mask, as to conceal his identity and so that he does not get blood on his clothes. He often uses a knife, axe, meat hook, or other sharp metal weapon or tool when killing.
Personality: On the surface, Joshua Levine is the handsome, charming, charismatic son of Patrick Levine, a wealthy and successful wall street bank firm CEO. This makes him very popular with young women he meets and some envy from his peers. All-in-all, he comes off as yuppie incarnate.
This is only the surface, though. Underneath, Joshua is a sadistic sociopath who enjoys torturing and killing people of the lower class, particularly strippers and prostitutes. Often he leaves the bodies in a fashion resembling some kind of twisted art, the most notable being the one left hung from a wall in a crucified fashion.
Joshua enjoys the fact that his family ties are wealthy and strong enough he can get away with anything, and thus believes himself above the law; something he has yet to see proven otherwise. Though Joshua is a sexually active young man, he feels no long-term romantic feelings for anyone, and only views the women he's with at the time as brief sexual partners; which is why he usually just hires high-class prostutes.
Family:
Patrick Levine ~ father of Joshua and Angela Levine; CEO of a successful Wall Street banking firm.
Celeste Levine ~ mother of Joshua and Angela Levine, former broadway performer.
Angela Levine ~ Twin sister (see bio on Angela)
History: Joshua and Angela Levine were born to an upper-class family in New York City and had grown up in a life of wealth and privilage.
While Angela was fairly contented other then her interest in becoming a broadway performer like their mother, Joshua was reckless and exhibited an apathetic demeanor towards his classmates in their private schools, and seemed to show little interest in the people around him as he grew up as well.
Eventually, Joshua began to do less admirable things, including visiting seedy diners, paying for strip dances, as well as hire upper-class prostitutes for sexual pleasure. His pride in his luxurious social status made him look further down at the lower classes, particularly towards the lower-class prostitutes and strippers, whom he viewed as disgusting and unclean, unlike the proper and elegant ones he was used to procuring the services of when his father was out.
Eventually one night, he put on a black hooded raincoat, gathered a hunting knife of his father's, and visited one of the downtown areas the lower-class prostitutes hung out at, and murdered one who was on her way out to the main sidewalk and left the body for her co-workers to find.
The news the following day pleased him; he'd been careful to cover his tracks, and he was driven to do it again to a stripper a few days later with an axe.
As Joshua's murders grew, one or two were covered up more sloppily; and investigations began to point towards the Levine family, but were quickly silenced by bribes and influence Patrick Levine had on the police force, as well as the local government. The realization he could get away with as many murders as he wanted has only prompted him to continue, though less frequently as to lower suspicion.
Eventually, Joshua began to suspect his sister Angela was aware of his activities, and threatened her one night of what would happen if she told anyone. Joshua continues to live two lives; one as the handsome, wealthy son of Patrick Levine, the other as an infamous and unidentified serial killer.
Main Talent: If one wanted to get technical; acting. Joshua is good at covering his tracks, and improvising alibis should the authorities somehow get past the family's money and question him.
Weaknesses: Like any sociopath, Joshua is nearly fearless. Certain death seems the only thing that scares him, though with his family ties and having cowed his younger sister into submissive behavior around him he has little to be concerned of.
He does, however, dislike nosy reporters and investigators.
While competant at his secret activities, Joshua is still more likely to win a fight by surprising his prey while armed rather then openly challenging them to a fight, as he is not trained in any particular kind of fighting style.
Strengths: Joshua is a competant serial killer, having done well at covering his tracks and making evidence seem only circumstantial at best more often then not. While he can hold his own in a fight, his wealthy background does not give him much time to be taught direct combat and thus more relies on the element of surprise and ambush, as well as intimidation to claim his victems.
Anything Else: Joshua often visits diners and clubs and brothels of all classes, though usually less dressed up so he may observe people he may choose as new victems. He graduated from an Ivy League college.
RP Example: Joshua Levine smiled his charming smile and nodded as the young upper-class lady he'd been introduced to continued to verbally chew his ear off. He was an expert at putting on the good public face at parties but underneath had less patience for them then his sister did, and she didn't appear to be having much fun either. The only people who ever did were the parents, unless he could sneak this one into one of the bedrooms for a little alone time.
He noticed Angela's brief uncomfortable look as she stood by the caterings, but dismissed it. She wouldn't dare out him, not after the little chat they had one night. His secret was secure, and no cop or reporter was gonna get close enough to him to get a word in before dad's money pushed them back.
Back to the issue at hand. He thought to himself as he leaned in and whispered to the girl's ear, and she grinned. At least she'd shut up, now maybe she'd do something a little more to his use. Grinning back, Joshua lead the way through the marble halls to find an empty bedroom so they would not be disturbed for the next half hour or so. Tonight wasn't going to be so dull after all...
