Logan stood in the corner, shadowing his latest customer as the drugs and cash changed hands. He nodded and spoke in a low tone so no passers by could hear them. As the blonde stepped out away from Logan he sighed. That girl; her name was Marie, she was becoming a regular and it killed him but he had to do the deals if he wanted to live. Logan ground his teeth as he pulled his trench coat tightly around him, trying to keep out the cold.
"Stupid bastered." he said scolding himself as his feelings crept through to his job. He cupped his hands and breathing on them to warm them up before he moved on to the next corner. Logan also shut down his emotions going back into dealer mode.

Ruby, on her way home from the Roxy (as usual) had noticed the small exchange. Curious she followed the dark figure headed for the next corner. She knew all to well what type of thing went on around her home.
As they stopped at the next corner she caught up with them, her heavily made up eyes screamed for the attention of any looking at her. Hugging her black coat around for warmth she wished she hadn't been so obsessed with looks when she'd bought it. It clung to her form all the way down to the waist, where it hung down, a slit going from waist to the end of the material. It was a nice coat, but not practical.
She stopped under the streetlamp by the figure, leaning against it casually. "What're you sellin'?" she asked him. An eyebrow raised questioningly.

Logan whipped around to see the girl. He knew who she was instantly as "The Girl Upstairs". She lived in the same apartment block as him, a couple flights up though. Logan wore a blank expression as he answered her. "If you gotta be asking baby, you don't want it."
He didn't know she already had an addiction and missing out on one deal tonight wouldn't starve him. Logan did have enough money to keep a float for a while, so turning her away would help him sleep at night, or tonight at least.
After Logan spoke his eyes couldn't help but rake over her fragile frame. He had a thing for the ladies of Roxy as it were, and she was no different. Logan took in the heavy smoky eyes and the tight coat with a curt nod to show he highly approved.

Ruby frowned fleetingly, she already had an idea. If this guy had it, she wanted it and there was no way she wouldn't get it. But, there was one thing that annoyed her. Getting called baby, she was 19. Probably the youngest dancer at the Roxy and yet she'd been through more than any of them to get where she was.
She shifted herself off the post and took the few steps towards him. The gap between them closed swiftly and her face was only inches from his. "Do I look like a baby to you?" she asked him, pressing herself up against him and gently trailing one hand over his cheek. She chuckled softly, dropping her hand and taking a small step away from him. She would have stayed like that, but you never knew what type of person you were dealing with in a place like this.

Logan sighed as she pressed up against him, the company and heat was greatly welcomed. He had to stop and think before going too far, she wasn't at Roxy at the moment so he couldn't touch her.
"Do I look like a baby to you?"
Logan dipped his head a chuckled lightly. "No, no you don't. My apologies mademoiselle. May I ask you a question? What is a lady such as yourself doing out here alone tonight? It's not a safe place." Logan didn't care if he came off like a pompous git, at least she'd let her barrier down and know she was safe with him.

Ruby laughed, her blue eyes crinkled at the edges. "Apology accepted." she conceded, blatently checking him out, and subsequently liking what she saw. "Is anywhere safe 'round here?" she said, by way of an answer to his last question.
She shot him a flirtacious glance, "I might ask what you're doing out here, alone..." she looked back in the direction the blonde had left him. "Unless, you weren't alone until just recently." she smirked, suggesting the blonde was more than just a client.

Logan pulled his head back up and looked into her deep blue eyes, almost feeling overwhelmed. "No, nowheres safe around here. But I guess everyone who lives here already knows that aye?" he said very seriously pocketing his cold hands in his coat pockets.
Logan couldn't help but smile at her flirtatiousness. "I'm not alone right now." he replied to her first question with a smirk. He tilted his head, still looking her over, although he tried to stop himself. The smirk faltered and Logan shook his head, "What the blonde? She's got nothing on you bab- uh, lil' lady." he said managing to correct himself just in time.

Ruby chuckled, coming back towards him, she gently took a hold of his coat, using it to keep them close. "I wish I could say there was nothing on you..." she began, sliding her hands over his coat, feeling the packages of crack through the material. "But I can feel it." she finished, her eyes sparking triumphantly. Yet this time she didn't move away.

Logan smirk vanished once she had figured out what he was doing. He decided to play it cool though. "Feel what? The heat radiating off us right now, or my chiseled abs." Logan joked with a grin. "Well this is rather pleasant." he commented shortly after hoping to get off the subject of what he had in his pockets. "Would you like to come in?" Logan asked opening up his coat to accommodate her and shield her from the cold that whipped around them.

Ruby smirked, slipping into the warmth inside his coat, her arms going around his waist. "Oh, I'm going to have to go with both." she answered him. He was also highly attractive, she seemed to be running into that type of guy a lot recently. She knew he dealt crack, reluctantly, but he still had it. This guy had a lot going for him. "You never told me your name..." she mused aloud, looking up at him expectantly, "Yet here I am, in your coat."

"Oh, I'm going to have to go with both."
"Good choice." Logan said with a grin as he now looked down on her brown locks of hair. She smelled so good, the cigar smoke and smell of booze was somewhat of an abnormal turn on for Logan; the perfume was an added bonus. "Mmmm." he purred quietly in the back of his throat breathing her scent in.
Logan smirked thinking of what name to give the beautiful lady pressed against him. Deciding he'd rather her be a friend and not a customer he gave her his real name. "Logan Echolls, mademoiselle. I would shake your hand, but I can't seem to find it." he said with a chuckle that made the lose strands of her hair dance. "And yes you are in my coat, do you do this often? Sorry. Uh, bad joke." Logan stuttered then coughed clearing his throat. "And your name is?"

Ruby knew her heart was beating faster than usual. That had been happening a lot recently too. Was she ill or something?
Ruby chuckled, finding his hand for him, slipping her fingers into his. "I found it for you." she said, giggling at his rather terrible joke. "Names Ruby Walker, and with a job like mine, yes. I do this quite often. But I can't say it's ever been this enjoyable." she admitted, "It's usually more like this..." she said softly, kissing his neck gently.
"Then that usually goes on to something a bit like this." she laughed, kissing him on his lips, gently but with a certain passion that was hard to place. She'd always been quite a forward young lady. She pulled away from him suddenly, how could she keep losing herself like this? She did it with Ty, she was doing it now. She hardly knew either of them, she knew she didn't know Logan. Except for his name. Was the Roxy rubbing off on her this much? Or was this who she was?
The guy hadn't even asked for it! "Yeah well, thats not exactly a turn on with a middle aged loser..." she chuckled, trying to ease the awkward feeling that clenched inside her. He had to say something. She'd die if he walked away.

Logan's heart was racing too, he thought it was thumping so loud in his chest that she might be able to hear it as well. Logan tried to calm himself; he'd like her since the day he saw her getting home late from her shift. Her name did not matter to him, Logan just wanted to get to know her, but with their busy lives it seemed impossible until this fateful night.
Logan grinned as she slid her hand into his, "A pleasure to meet you Ruby Walker." Finally a name he could call her by instead of 'The Girl Upstairs.' His eyes lit up and he laughed a little with her as she laughed at his god awful and slightly inappropriate joke. Laughter was definitely contagious for him.
Slightly taken aback by the kiss on his lips Logan nodded, thinking of coherent words to put in a sentence next that wouldn't involve the phrase, 'What comes next?' afraid she'd slap him and walk away off into the night. Almost falling forward when she broke the kiss he laughed a little embarrassed and scratched the back of his head. All Logan could do was nod politely as she tried to ease the awkward tension so he thought he should be a gentleman and help her out a little.
Somewhat protectively he slipped his arms around her petite waist and pulled her in closer to him. "A bit chilly out, can I buy you coffee or something?" he asked with the hope of getting to know her better in the sense of words and not actions. If Ruby liked him enough, he might see the actions later, but right now he had to stay focused and try not to joke inappropriately around the young lady.

Ruby nodded casually, "Sure you can." she grinned, not letting a trace of what was going on inside her though. Even in New York people could get freaked out by a sudden burst of cheering and enthusiastic fist pumping. It was better to play it cool, calm and collected.
She felt quite secure, as if, for the first time since moving to New York she could finally let someone else watch her back for a while. Instead of having to look after everything herself.
She stepped away from him somewhat reluctantly, waiting for him to join her in the walk to a cafe. She didn't know which one, there were plenty to choose from and she didn't know if the guy had his own particular favorite. "So, you got an age Logan?" she asked him interestedly. He definately wasn't a middle aged loser, she could tell that much. He wasn't a teenager anymore, not like her.

Logan pouted slightly as she left his coat. The warmth and company in it made him quite happy to share it with her. He quickly covered the pout with a smile hoping Ruby didn't pick it up. Like a true gentleman, he offered her his arm to hold onto if she so desired as they walked. "M'lady."
Logan had the plan of steering them in the direction of "Three French Hens" it was a small corner cafe not far from where they were currently. He was notorious for hanging out there when he got bored; it was where he wrote the material for most of his shows as well. The waitresses often joked he'd drink their coffee supply for the month and they'd have nothing to serve and go broke. He found it quite amusing and thought Ruby would like the cozy atmosphere the place gave off.
"So, you got an age Logan?"
Logan smiled at her, "Well that depends. Does age matter to a young lady such as yourself?" He was being coy about the answer as he knew he had to be older than her, by how much he was unsure.
